Based on operating notes recorded on 21 September 2026. This date is not a release version; applicability to your installed software must be confirmed.

Before acquisition

The relevant feature license must be valid, the acquisition card connected, a real equipment measurement point selected and the parameter combination valid. No conflicting active task may be using the hardware.

Enter inspection and balancing acquisition from their dedicated workflows. An ordinary capture should not be assumed to be the result of an inspection point or balancing stage.

Single, continuous and timed tasks

Single acquisition collects one complete waveform segment. It suits a one-off measurement and initial checks.

Continuous acquisition repeats complete segments for ongoing observation and requires the operator to stop it.

Timed acquisition organizes complete segments within the selected task duration. The recorded duration input accepts 1 to 86400 seconds.

A 60-second timed task does not mean one continuous waveform exactly 60 seconds long will be created. Records are still saved as complete segments, and the end time is affected by the current segment boundary and device cleanup. Continue waiting for the final state after the progress timer expires.

Start and check the result

Select the point and parameters, choose the task mode and click Start. The workspace prepares the current configuration and then submits acquisition. Observe the starting, running and progress indications. After completion, check the new record's target, time, sample rate and sample count before analysis.

If Start is unavailable, check in order:

  1. Is the card connected?
  2. Is a real measurement point selected?
  3. Is the synchronous-parameter dialog still open?
  4. Is a task starting, running or stopping?
  5. Is an inspection result waiting to be submitted?

Resolve the displayed state instead of repeatedly trying to start.

What is saved when acquisition stops?

Click Stop, read the confirmation dialog and confirm. The software then performs stopping and cleanup. Complete segments that were received and saved remain available. The current incomplete segment is discarded and does not create a new historical record.

Stopping before the first segment is complete may leave no new record. If Stop and the last data packet arrive together, a segment that passes completeness validation may still be saved.

Stopping status does not mean the button failed. The software handles stop acknowledgment and remaining data to prevent an old stream from mixing with the next capture. If it cannot confirm that the device stopped, or data continues to arrive, it may close the connection and require reconnection.

The recorded acquisition interface has Start and Stop, with no Pause, Resume or Reset workflow. Starting again creates a new task; it does not continue a partially captured segment.

Find and open historical records

Open the history area in the analysis workspace. Filter by equipment, measurement point and start/end time, click Query, and use pagination as needed. The start time must not be later than the end time. Use Reset to restore the filter conditions.

After opening a record, check its ID, equipment and point, acquisition time and recorded parameters. Switching history changes the analysis target without starting acquisition. If the query is empty, check the filters and selected point before concluding that data has been lost.

Incomplete and sample records

The recorded stopping logic no longer creates incomplete-segment records, but older partial records may remain in the database. Records marked as not analyzable cannot be used for a complete FFT, bearing diagnosis, field balancing or other workflows requiring complete data.

If the interface permits exporting their stored raw waveform, only the samples actually retained may be exported. They are not a reconstructed complete segment.

Sample records demonstrate charts and differ from measured captures. Select a measured record before drawing field conclusions or exporting formal measurement data.

The interface disconnected but a record may exist

A frontend connection or status-push failure is different from the backend task's final state. Restore the service connection, refresh task status and history, and check whether a complete record was saved before deciding to acquire again. A temporarily missing curve does not establish that the task never ran.
