Signal conversion

YD240 extracts a rotational-speed signal and converts the measured speed to a 4–20 mA analog output or an RS485 communication output, according to the ordered configuration. The input selection includes an eddy-current sensor, passive magnetoelectric sensor or Hall-effect speed sensor. The number of pulses per revolution must match the monitored target.

Temperature drift is printed as ≤0.1%°C; the source does not clarify the unit formatting.

Terminal functions and installation

The text identifies the power/output terminals as 24V for the external 24 V supply, COM for external supply ground, and Iout for the 4–20 mA current output. The sensor-input group identifies +24V as sensor power, COM as sensor supply ground, and Vin as sensor signal input.

The source includes a physical terminal view, connection schematic, DIN-rail installation view and rail/base removal view. The text does not specify the pin positions or a step-by-step removal procedure. Confirm the terminal layout and rail attachment against the drawing for the supplied transmitter before connecting it.

Range, input and pulse configuration

The ordering structure is YD240-A-B-C-D.

Field Codes described
A: speed span 01 = 0–1000 rpm; 02 = 0–2000 rpm; 03 = 0–3000 rpm; further spans indicated
B: input 01 = YD9800 eddy-current sensor; 02 = YD60 passive magnetoelectric sensor; 03 = YD62 Hall sensor
C: pulses per revolution 01 = 1; 02 = 2; 03 = 3; further values indicated
D: output 01 = 4–20 mA; 02 = RS485

The example YD240-01-03-15-01 specifies a 1000 rpm span, YD62 Hall sensor input, 15 pulses per revolution (15 teeth) and a 4–20 mA output. Range and pulse count are separate fields; the tooth count must not be mistaken for a speed-range code.
