CZ9400 vibration transmitter

CZ9400 measurement ranges, environmental limits and configuration fields.

On this page

The document filename describes a flameproof transmitter, while its body uses a broader explosion-protected designation. Its marking is printed as EX D IIB T6 Ga. This wording is preserved without treating it as a verified current certification.

Measurement and signal output

CZ9400 uses a piezoelectric sensing element with measurement, conversion, integration, amplification and transmission circuitry. Its internal precision integration circuit provides a velocity signal. Select the required vibration quantity and range when ordering. The selected quantity is transmitted by a two-wire 4–20 mA loop.

The source describes wiring error protection and defines the positive sensing direction from the mounting base into the sensor body.

Selection and mounting interfaces

The ordering structure is CZ9400-A-B-C-D. A01 selects velocity, A02 acceleration and A03 displacement. Range code examples B01/B02/B03 are 0–10/20/30 mm/s for velocity, 0–10/20/30 g for acceleration, or 0–100/200/300 µm for displacement. Further ranges are indicated but not individually enumerated.

Mounting field C is 01 for M10 × 1.5, 02 for M8 × 1.25, or 03 for custom manufacture. Cable-entry field D is 01 for M20 × 1.5, 02 for NPT 1/2, or 03 for G1/2.

The source example A01-B02-C01-D01 specifies velocity, 0–20 mm/s, M10 × 1.5 mounting and an M20 × 1.5 cable entry. Confirm the connection drawing for the selected configuration before wiring; a circuit diagram is present in the source, but it does not provide a textual terminal schedule for this English article.
